Orthopaedic Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (OCATS) – Warrington

Coronavirus (Covid-19) update

In order to support the response to coronavirus (Covid-19) we have been asked by NHS England to stop or partially stop the delivery of a number of our community services.

As part of our response to the coronavirus appointments with the physiotherapy and orthopaedic triage service face to face appointments have been cancelled to allow staff to focus on those who need urgent care.

We appreciate how frustrating this will be for you and would like to apologise.

We have not taken this decision lightly and would like to reassure you that we are taking all necessary steps to try to keep any disruption for patients to an absolute minimum.

If you have any urgent concerns about your condition as a result of this change please contact our department on the details below.

The physiotherapy department is currently developing a web based resource with access to exercise videos and guidance on how you can manage common musculoskeletal problems.

We will be conducting telephone and video appointments with our existing and new patients, as well as those patients on our waiting list in the coming weeks until such a time we can offer face to face appointments again.

Hopefully this resource will be useful in the short term.

Thank you for your patience in this difficult time.
