West – 01925 946915

All families are allocated a named Health Visitor, who will remain with you and support you and your family through the early years, from late pregnancy until your child commences primary school.

At this stage this support is then available from our school  nurse colleagues until your child finishes their education in year 13.

The Health Visiting Team deliver the national Health Child Programme.

As part of the Healthy Child Programme, your family will be offered:

  • 1 – Pre Birth visit – offered in the late stages of pregnancy
  • 2 – Birth Visit – usually within 10-14 days of your baby’s birth
  • 3 – 6-8 week visit
  • 4 – 9-12 month development review
  • 5 – 2-2.5 year development review

We will also contact all parents around 3-4 months via letter to offer support around weaning, accidents in the home etc.

Please contact us at any stage if you are needing advice or support or are worried about your child’s development eg feeding, diet, behaviour, sleep, potty training, meeting milestones to name but a few.

We are the clinical experts in these areas and as a result we tailor-make a package of care.

This is as individual as your family is, with support around weaning and introducing solids.
