Tell us about your career to date:

Muslim chaplain currently working at HMP Wymott, MA in social work and MPhil in community cohesion, 12 years of bamer community engagement experience, CEO The Flowhesion Foundation working to allow bamer communities to work better, live better and feel better, vice-chair Lancashire Equalities Organisation, graduate of ILM leadership programme and Common purpose streetwise MBA.

 

What is the most important thing for you in your role?

To be able to provide a ‘critical friend’ perspective and to bring my expertise, experiences to the table to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and equal access to it.

What is your main focus for the year?

Wanting to ensure that during the pandemic service users are getting the best possible care and services from Bridgewater and thinking creatively to make sure that this is possible.

 

What will be your focus in your first year with the Trust?

The people’s committee.
