Tell us about your career to date:

Muslim chaplain currently working at HMP Wymott, MA in social work and MPhil in community cohesion,, graduate of ILM leadership programme and Common purpose streetwise MBA.

12 years of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) community engagement experience. Founder and CEO of the Flowhesion Foundation.

The Foundation delivers numerous programmes across the North of England to enable communities of identity to live better, feel better and achieve more.

 

What is the most important thing for you in your role?

To be able to provide a ‘critical friend’ perspective and to bring my expertise, experiences to the table to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and equal access to it.

 

What do you enjoy most about your role?

What is your main focus for the year?

Wanting to ensure that during the pandemic service users are getting the best possible care and services from Bridgewater and thinking creatively to make sure that this is possible.

 

What will be your focus in your first year with the Trust?

The people’s committee.
