Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is incredibly saddened by the news Her Majesty The Queen has passed away.
The Queen dedicated her whole life to public service and it was our proudest moment when she awarded NHS staff the George Cross earlier this year, for their compassion and courage over the last 74 years but particularly during the pandemic.
Our heartfelt condolences are with the Royal Family at this time.
For more than seven decades, Her Majesty has been a constant source of strength for the country and people around the world, particularly in the Commonwealth. Her unwavering commitment to public service during her reign is an example of the finest generosity, humility and compassion in humankind.
Today (Friday), we enter a period of national mourning until after the state funeral.
An online Book of Condolence has been set up on the www.royal.uk website. A selection of messages will be passed onto members of the Royal Family, and may be held in the Royal Archives for posterity.
