Halton Children’s Specialist Services based at Halton Woodview Child Development Centre (CDC) include:
- Community Paediatric Service
- Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
- Occupational Therapy Service
- Physiotherapy Service
We accept referrals from:
- Health Visitors, School Nurses
- Allied Health Professionals – including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
- GP’s
- Schools.
Referrals can be made via a single referral form for all services based in Halton Children’s Specialist Service.
Referrals to the Community Paediatric Service should include concerns associated with:
- Developmental delay
- Regression of development with loss of skills
- Assessment for possible Neuro-developmental conditions due to significant concern with attention, concentration and/or hyperactivity
- Social and communication difficulties
- Motor difficulties with neurological anomalies
- Management and overview of complex long-term health conditions requiring ongoing medical management by a Community Paediatrician such as cerebral palsy, degenerative conditions, genetic syndromes
