Bridgewater and Wellbeing Enterprises CIC are delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted for a Health Service Journal (HSJ) Partnership Award in the ‘Best Educational Programme for the NHS’ category.
Working in partnership, Bridgewater and Wellbeing Enterprises designed and delivered a Wellbeing & Asset Based Brief Intervention (WABBIT) training programme to help clinical staff to identify and respond effectively to the social issues impacting on patients’ lives and which are often a root cause or exacerbatory factor of poor health outcomes.
The interactive training programme offers practical, evidence based top tips for identifying and responding to the wider determinants of health and has been rolled out to trust staff to help bolster skills to respond to such concerns.
Chief Executive Officer at WE, Mark Swift, said:
“We’re thrilled to be shortlisted for a HSJ Award Partnership award in recognition of the incredible outcomes that can be achieved for patients and staff when NHS organisations work in partnership with social enterprises like Wellbeing Enterprises. Diverse collaborations of this kind are often a seedbed for new innovations and enhanced outcomes, and it is great to see our partnership flourishing in exciting new ways”.
Bridgewater’s Chief Executive Officer Colin Scales continued:
“It’s great to be working in partnership with Wellbeing Enterprises and we’re delighted that this training programme has been shortlisted for the HSJ Partnership awards – it’s fantastic recognition of a truly collaborative endeavour. Working together in this way has enabled us to share insights and knowledge which has been beneficial for staff and patients alike”.
HSJ editor Alastair McLellan comments:
“We would like to congratulate Wellbeing Enterprises CIC and Bridgewater Healthcare NHS FT on being nominated in the category of Best Educational Programme for the NHS ahead of HSJ Partnership Awards 2020. We are looking forward to welcoming them to the ceremony in February, to join us in recognising the very best collaborations and innovations in the healthcare sector. This year’s finalists are of an outstanding calibre and all of them are exceptionally dedicated to enhancing healthcare across the UK.”
The winners will be selected following a rigorous, “live panel” judging stage ahead of the HSJ Partnership Awards 2020 awards ceremony.
Held at the Park Plaza Westminster on the 27 February, the evening will provide a great opportunity for influential figures to unite and celebrate the achievements of their industry peers.
The awards evening is expected to be attended by leaders and professionals from both the NHS and private sector as well as figures from non-clinical backgrounds to celebrate innovation and collaboration in healthcare.
This year’s chosen charity partner is MediCinema a charity dedicated to improving the wellbeing of patients, their families and carers across the UK through the magic of the shared cinema experience.
