Description of the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service provides a local, high quality specialist ENT service to patients, provided by a fully accredited GPwSI in ENT, with nursing support.

The service focuses on triage, diagnosis and treatment, and patient support. Advice and education and training on the management of ENT conditions is also provided to GPs and other clinicians.

Who can access the service?

The service is available to both adults and children who are registered with a GP in the St Helens area.

How can people access the service?

Referrals to the service are via the patients registered GP.

Where is the service offered?

The service is offered at Newton Hospital, Newton-Le-Willows and Eccleston Medical Centre, St Helens.
